The University of Washington Bothell Computing and Software Systems (CSS) Speaker Series concludes on Wednesday, April 30 with a discussion on climate change.

Dr. Pieter Tans, Senior Scientist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Earth System Research Laboratory, will present “Tackling the Climate Change Problem: We Cannot Afford to Wait,” an address on global warming and greenhouse gas emissions. The free and open to the public event will begin with a 5:30 p.m. reception in the North Creek Events Center.

The CSS Speaker Series is an annual lecture series sponsored by the UW Bothell Computing and Software Systems Program. Its purpose is to promote continuing education for the community. Presenters in the Series represent a vast range of areas, encompassing aspects of manipulating and creating digital technology, nanotechnology, software project management and computer graphics and animation.
