It’s going to be a fun and busy week as we finalize preparations for Friday’s Social Media 101 conference out at Microsoft headquarters. We’ve got an all-star lineup of presenters and I hope you can be there. Purchase your tickets now, as no walk ups will be allowed due to venue restrictions. Tonight (Monday) I’ll be at Paul Anderson’s Prolango Career Mixer at Maggiano’s in Bellevue. I’m really looking forward to that, as I’ve heard that there were close over 300 people at the last one – and there are well over 400 rsvp’d for tonight. Tuesday evening I will be attending the third (of four) sessions of my business coach, Pam Hoelzle ’s Reinvention Forum at the Master Builders Association in Bellevue. She’s arranged for great presentations and there’s been an amazing group of attendees each week. Tickets are still available at http://reinventseminar.eventbrite.com Wednesday at lunch time is the B2B Biz School’s session entitled “What is your banker thinking?”, with Matthew Ley, Vice President and Relationship Manager of Core Business Bank. This is a free event, but you need to register . Wednesday evening (after I get to spend the afternoon with Jackie Kennedy), is Bellevue Tweetup 6.0 at SeaStar Raw Bar, organized by Steven Matsumoto. Looks like another great Tweetup with over 40 rsvps so far. Thursday evening I’ll be crossing the bridge to attend the National Association of Asian American Professionals event “Creating Career/Business Opportunities Through Social Media Networking” at O’Asian. Great panel of Social Media Club Seattle social media experts are scheduled to be there including Kenji Onozawa, Veronica Wei Sopher, Maya Bisineer and Joann Jen. Afterwards I hope to have conserved enough energy to go boogie down at the Dark Star Orchestra show at the Showbox. Then we get to Friday, the big day for me and the Social Media 101 conference I have been working on for over a month. I get to pick up one of our great presenters, Edith Yeung from BizTechDay and the San Francisco Entrepreneurs Meetup Group at the airport and head out to Microsoft for the big event. It’s really a going to be a great week and I hope that we get to connect! Joe “The Connector” Kennedy BTW – I’ve been told that although I have been really good at promoting other people and their businesses, that I need to start branding and marketing myself a lot better. Many people have introduced my at a great connector, so I have adopted the nickname “The Connector”. What do you think? Do you have any other personal branding suggestions or ideas on how I might start to monetize Eastside Entrepreneurs and EastsideBusinessJournal.com? We all have to eat, right? I’d love to hear from you! Joe(at)EastsideEntrepreneurs.com
