Local independent music retailer, Bellevue American Music has concluded a deal to expand their existing retail space by more than 50% adjoining the main retail store.  Established in 1984, Bellevue American Music is a landmark in the heart of the Overlake area of this community located northeast of downtown Seattle

Bellevue American Music President and CEO, Reese Marin, explains, “ This will allow us much needed and long overdue extra space to bring the dedicated guitar and amp showroom up to contemporary standards. We carry a unique and rare selection of hand picked guitars, both acoustic and electric. The additional space will allow us to better merchandise the careful selection of instruments that sets this store apart from others. We buy as though we want to own the guitars, not just sell them.”

That strategy has been one of the main reasons for the success and growth of this retail music store. Despite a highly competitive market, guitar sales have increased over the last 2 years by 76 %.

“We attribute our phenomenal growth primarily to the outstanding selection of instruments that we carry,” Marin went on to say. “Our selection is unique not only to the area, but the industry in general.”

“Many of the instruments we carry can only be seen in pictures either in catalogues or on web sites. We are one of the few music stores nationwide where a guitar player can actually get hands on experience. Being able play, feel, and discuss features and benefits of these guitars with any of our dedicated and knowledgeable staff is what sets Bellevue American Music apart” concluded Marin.

In addition to the added showroom space, plans are underway to further expand both services, in-store and on-line, and product offerings in the coming months, making sure that Bellevue American Music remains a vital part of the local economy.
